Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool
Dowerin boasts a 50 metre Olympic sized swimming pool complete with two infant splash pools, playground equipment, change rooms facilities and general amenities, is a social hub for families, children and individuals over the summer months from November - March.
The initial pool complex was constructed in 1968 with an aim of attracting residents and visitors to enjoy the facilities during Dowerin’s hot Summer months. Today the Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool is looking better than ever with a recent paint job and the installation of some vibrant shade sails.
The community of Dowerin is proud of it's hosting rights of the BeActive Battle of the Towns Triathlon for the past 4 years. This is a competition that attracts competitors and spectators from surrounding towns and is an enjoyable day for all those that take part. Other activities taking place at the pool include weekly aquarobics classes, swim to Rotto and the annual Australia Day Breakfast celebration.
