Children & Families
The Dowerin Playgroup is an essential community service and is run by a friendly and welcoming committee made up entirely of volunteers. The Dowerin playgroup has been in operation for 23 years and is open to all parents and young children (aged 0-5yrs) in our community, irrespective of their ethnicity, gender or socio-economic background. The Dowerin playgroup operatives in aim of meeting two main focuses which are:
1. For parents - to meet other parents in order to share ideas, information & experience and to give support when it is needed. It's a great way to form new friendships.
2. For Children – to have fun, learn through play, participate in new play experiences, to play with other children increasing their social and communication skills. To mix with other adults and to make local friends.

Dowerin Parents and Citizens Association Inc.
Dowerin District High School is extremely proud of their active and encouraging Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). Their role is to provide a forum for parents to express views on education and our school.
To provide funds for any items as requested by the school or deemed necessary by P & C.
