Dowerin Tennis Club
Dowerin Tennis Club has a long history, having celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Dowerin is a family orientated tennis club with an active social calendar and friendly, social tennis available every Sunday afternoon from 3.00pm onwards. Players of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to come along for a game.
Dowerin normally competes in a pennant competition within the Central Districts Zone playing against surrounding country towns, Quairading, Goomalling, Cunderdin, Northam, York, Beverley and Meckering. However unfortunately this year we don't have a team.
The Dowerin Tennis Club offers coaching for juniors and seniors with several different prominent coaches at different times of the season. The club is fully equipped with tennis racquets and all the training equipment required for beginners.
We have five superb grass courts that with the help of our parks and gardens staff we assiduously keep in top condition. Remarks from visiting players are testament to the quality of the grass court-playing surface we provide for our members. We also have one undercover hard court available all year round to members.
This is the last season for the Dowerin Tennis Club on grass. As of next season the club will move to the new Dowerin Community Club and will play on Synthetic grass.
