Wheatbelt Heritage Rail - Full Steam ahead
On Friday 25th June shire staff were notified of a successful grant application lodged to the Wheatbelt Development Commission in February 2010 as part of the Royalties for Regions Wheatbelt Regional Grants Scheme. The Shire was approved $70,000 to assist with the development of the Wheatbelt Heritage Rail Museum and Restoration Workshop which is due to be established in Minnivale in the former CBH Wheat Bin. This funding will greatly assist with the progression of this exciting new project. The Shire is currently organising for the development of a feasibility study/business plan for this project which is expected to assist with additional funding.
