The Shire of Dowerin Council resolved at their meeting on the 21 September 2010 to consider making an amendment to the following Local Law.
Waste Local Law 2010
The Purpose and Effect of the local law are;
Purpose is to provide for the administration of waste services, the establishment, provision use and control of receptacles of the deposit and collection of waste and related matters.
The Effect of this local law is to control the collection and disposal of waste for the benefit of the community and protection of the environment.

The proposed amendment is to delete from Clause 2.11(2)(a)(i) the words “green garden cuttings”.
Submissions regarding this amendment may be lodged at the Council Office by 4.00pm on Friday the 26 November 2010.
Copies of the Local Law are available from the Administration Centre, Cottrell Street, Dowerin.
