...for the 2012 Active Citizenship Awards.

What’s our town without the people in it and those who share their lives for the benefit of the community?

It’s time to show your appreciation for the people in Dowerin that help make it that extra special place to live.  It could be a sportsperson or sporting group,  a police officer or an emergency organisation, a school teacher or a student, a business owner or a community group or it could simply be an amazing neighbour! Take a couple of minutes to put forward your nomination for the 2012 Active Citizenship Award. These annual awards focus on community contribution and  participation rather than personal achievement. They are community awards, so you nominate your winner!

Categories include:

  • Youth of the Year (under 25yrs)
  • Community Group of the Year
  • Active Citizen of the year (individual)

Please  contact Lou at the Shire for further details. Please submit your completed application - Attention CEO, Shire of Dowerin PO Box 111 by COP Friday 25th  November 2011.

Winners will be presented with their awards at the Australia Day  Community Breakfast to be held at the Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool on 26th January 2011.
