Congratulations to the Dowerin Cricket Club -Grand Final Winners!

On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March 2012, Wyalkatchem Oval played host once again to the Wyalkatchem Cricket Association Grand Final. After another long summer of some fantastic cricket, Dowerin made it through to the Grand Final against reigning premiers Wongan, following a come from behind win the semi final the weekend before.

The Dowerin boys put on an excellent performance on day one bowling Wongan out for 88 and finishing up the day 5/157. Into a second innings on day 2, Wongan put up a great fight with the bat, however when the final wicket fell Dowerin only needed to chase 77 and did so with 6 wickets to spare. A fantastic achievement for the boys, well done to Klint Hagboom who amongst a huge trophy haul took away Man of the Match for the 2012 Grand Finals.
