Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool
The Dowerin Swimming Pool is located on the edge of the Recreation Grounds complex on Memorial Avenue.
It is a substantial 50 metre pool, with grassed surrounds and ample amenities, including a well stocked kiosk, playground and BBQ facilities.
The pool is open from November to March (dates tbc each year) and is open from 12noon to 7pm every day except for Tuesdays.
The pool is open for early morning lap swimming every Monday and Thursday from 6am to 7am.
The Dowerin Memorial Swimming Pool is now CLOSED and will reopen in November 2024.
Please note that the Dowerin Amateur Swimming club do their time trials on Thursdays during the school terms and that the pool is closed to the public between 3.15pm and 5pm during this time, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thanks to the generous donation from a group of local business owners and individuals, entry into the Dowerin Memorial Pool is FREE for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season.

Swimming Club
The Dowerin Amateur Swimming Club is about encouraging participation. Our club meets are on Monday and Thursday afternoons starting at 3.30pm. Our aim is to encourage children to better their own times each week.
The emphasis is not on winning but the individual improving their times.
Our club aims to encourage sportsmanship and a genuine desire for each individual to strive for their own personal development.
