Dowerin Community Childcare

The Dowerin Community Childcare is a not for profit group who have successfully established and manage the Lil'Tigers Early Learning Centre in Dowerin.

If you think you may use childcare in Dowerin now or in the future or would like to support the group in any way it would be greatly appreciated.

The committee is extremely proactive in their fundraising efforts to ensure the ongoing viability of the centre.

Dowerin Community Resource Centre Committee

The local Community Resource Centre is Dowerin's one stop shop for all administration needs.

Complete with an in-store WestPac Bank branch, public library and the use of computers and technology for anyone wishing to utilise them the CRC is a hub in a small community.

The CRC is overseen by a committee who meet regularly to discuss upcoming projects and events that the CRC may be involved with in Dowerin. For further information about the CRC or to find out how you can be involved in the committee please click here for further details.

Dowerin & Districts Museum

The Dowerin Museum Committee are a group of enthusiastic volunteers who help with the general upkeep and running of the Dowerin District Museum, a house built in 1915 located at 16 Cottrell Street Dowerin.

The museum consists of a saddler shop along with other artefacts from earlier times.

Dowerin Men's Shed

Dowerin Men's Shed is a group of men who get together for a cuppa, a chat and/or to work on projects.

They meet each Tuesday afternoon at the Dowerin District High School Enterprise Yard.

Dowerin St John Ambulance

The Dowerin St John is a voluntary group consisting of committee, administration and ambulance officers.  Dowerin residents can become a member of the Sub centre and therefore save themselves the expensive costs of ambulance transport.  All membership funds stay in the Dowerin Sub centre.

First Aid courses are also regularly held at the Sub centre.
