In accordance with Schedule 2, Part 2, Clause 4(1)(a) of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Scheme) Regulations 2015, at its August 2020 meeting Council resolved to adopt the following Local Planning Policies for the purpose of public advertising:
- Outbuildings in Residential Areas;
- Second-hand & Moveable Buildings; and
- Sea Containers and Similar Storage Containers.
The policies have been prepared to provide guidance to Council and the community around the requirements for the development and placement of the above within the Shire of Dowerin and each application received will be assessed under the provisions of these policies.

Members of the public are invited to make a submission on the policies. Submissions must be in writing, be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and be received by no later than 12.00pm on Tuesday 29 September 2020.
All submissions received will be presented to Council for consideration at its October 2020 meeting. As such, it should be noted that unless otherwise requested in the submission, all submissions will be publicly available with the Council Agenda.
