The Shire of Dowerin is seeking two motivated and experienced Casual Plant Operators/ General Hands to join our Infrastructure and Projects team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our local roads and infrastructure, while being part of a supportive and community-focused team.

About the role:
In this role, you’ll:
-
Operate a range of heavy plant and equipment (grader, loader, skid steer, excavator desirable)
-
Undertake civil construction and road maintenance works across the Shire
-
Carry out general labouring duties, equipment checks, and record keeping
-
Work independently and as part of a close-knit team
What we’re looking for:
-
Demonstrated experience operating heavy plant and equipment
-
Road maintenance and civil construction experience
-
White Card (Construction Safety Awareness)
-
Basic Worksite Traffic Management accreditation
-
Current HR driver’s licence (HC or MC desirable)
-
Strong work ethic, teamwork and communication skills
