Australia Day Awards – Nominations Now Open!

The Shire of Dowerin invites you to recognise outstanding community contributions by nominating individuals or groups for the 2026 Australia Day Awards. Nominations are open in the following categories:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Citizen of the Year – Youth (under 24)
  • Citizen of the Year – Senior (65 and over)
  • Community Group of the Year

Nominees should demonstrate a strong community spirit, positive impact, and dedication to fostering inclusiveness.

Nominations close on 4:00pm Friday, 21 November 2025.

      

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Nominees must primarily reside or work within the Shire of Dowerin.
  • Sitting members of Federal, State, or Local Government and current Shire of Dowerin employees are ineligible.
  • No self-nominations accepted.

Submit nominations in person at the Dowerin Community Resource Centre, 13 Stewart Street, Dowerin, or via email to ceo@dowerin.wa.gov.au or through our online forms below.
