Shelley Matthews

Community Development Coordinator

Shelley is our Community Development Coordinator at the Shire of Dowerin. She began her local government journey two years ago as a part-time Community Development Officer and stepped into her current role in December 2024. Prior to that, she was the Events Officer at the CRC for over three years.

Shelley has been a local since 2014, and in that time managed the Dowerin Junior Cricket Club for five years and was the Junior Hockey assistant coach for a while.

Some fun facts about Shelley:

  • Shelley used to run her own small business helping locals get the most out of their Thermomix appliances
  • She has three cricket-mad sons
  • She grew up in Bencubbin

Willow Millar

Customer Service Officer - Events & Administration

Willow started working at the CRC in December 2024 but has been a local since 2017, attending school in Dowerin for six years.

Willow is the main girl behind our events and a friendly face in our Visitors Centre.

Some fun facts about Willow:

  • Willow plays amateur women's football for Hills Rangers FC in Parkerville
  • She enjoys arts & crafts, staying active, and travelling in her spare time
  • Her favourite chocolates are Bounty and Peanut M&Ms

Jade Rackham

Community Development Officer

Jade has been part of the CRC family since 2019, when she would come in as a volunteer and tidy the library shelves. She officially started work here in January 2020, and although she lost her job to COVID, she came back for more when the doors opened back up in the next May.

Jade is the brains behind our Seniors Activities, Better Beginnings, Tech Classes, and fabulous library.

Some fun facts about Jade:

  • Jade enjoys Line Dancing and Karate in her spare time
  • She grew up in South Australia
  • She attended Dowerin District High School for 3 years before starting Year 11 in Perth
