Local Government Election – Shire of Dowerin

The Shire of Dowerin will be holding an Ordinary Postal Election on Saturday, 18 October 2025 to elect four Councillors.

How to vote
Election packages will be sent to all eligible electors on the local government roll.

You should post your completed voting package as soon as possible. To make sure it arrives on time, please post it no later than the week before election day.

After this time, we recommend you hand deliver your completed voting package to the Shire of Dowerin Office at 13 Cottrell Street, Dowerin.

Hand delivery options

• Before election day: 8.30am to 4.00pm on business days

• On election day (Saturday 18 October): 8.00am to 6.00pm

The count of votes will commence after 6.00pm on election day at the Shire of Dowerin Council Chambers.
