NOTICE OF PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT OF PLANNING PROPOSAL

The Shire of Dowerin has received an application to use and develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

Street: Metcalf Street 

Suburb: Dowerin

Development is to accommodate a transport depot which includes a hard stand area along the Dowerin Kalannie Road and alongside the existing entrance off Metcalf Street. To be fenced with a standard chain mesh security fence and installation of a new entrance off the Dowerin Kalannie Road approximately 250m north from Metcalf Street to accommodate low loaders to access the site from the existing 8TPA low Loader Network route. It is proposed the Development footprint will cover approximately 139,000 square meters (13.9 Hectares).

Submissions may be made on the proposal in the period ending on the 21st of September 2026 (Monday). The written submission can be by formal letter to, 13 Cottrell Street, Dowerin during business hours of 8.30AM to 4.00PM Monday through to Friday, not including Public Holidays., and/or by email to dowshire@dowerin.wa.gov.au with reference in the subject line ‘DA2026/12’.

Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the local government in writing on or before that day.
